"You know, from one side Kiev is a European city with modern architecture, and from the other side it is still a post-soviet union city. I’m just trying to show the world as Kiev looks in reality. It’s really beautiful, and scary at the same time… doing streets in Kiev is a bit of a challenge for me. I just keep my iPhone with Hipstamatic open and look for a candid moment."

We’ve come across some bizarre ways of exposing film, but zapping it with electricity is definitely a first.
Phillip Stearns made use of a transformer that powers neon signs to run electricity through Fuji Instant Film, and the results are spectacular.

These East Village terraces were inspired by the lush, romantic feel of the Mediterranean. We used a combination of wood and terra cotta planters filled with an abundant mix flowering vines, annuals, perennials, and trees to create that look. The larger terra cotta pots are handmade and they are all at least 1-inch thick, which helps give them much better frost- and crack-resistance than thinner terra cotta pots have. These DIY natural feeders from The Garden Roof Coop are nothing short of amazing. Head over to see how to make your neighborhood birds very happy!
